Beloved in Christ,

The Chrismas season for Christians is a time filled with hope and gratitude! How incredible that the God of the universe would send the ultimate gift of His Son, the exact representaiton of Himself in bodily form - in a baby! That in this fragile little baby was contained the fullness of God's character, nature, power, His perfect love and compassion for all mankind. That even the angels would say, "What is man that you are mindful of him?" As Jesus lived out His life before the people, they were able to see the Bible lived out and obeyed before their very eyes. He is Emmanuel, "God with us." Two thousand years ago this same Jesus gave His life on the cross so that if any one would turn from his sins and receive Him as his Lord and Savior, then He would again reside - This time not as a baby but in human hearts, hearts like yours and mine! This includes all of God; His nature, character, power, and love - that is Christ in you, the hope of glory. This truly is the Christmas story.

It was a Friday night at S.O.S. as this beautiful little 15 year-olf girl came forward and with many tears gave her life to Jesus. A week later, one of our workers saw her at Bryan High School. As the worker sat next to her, the 15 year-old began to share how her mom had died a year ago. Then she went on to share about all the difficult things that had happened and were happening in her life. As the worker listened intently, she began telling this girl about a loving heavenly Father who would never leave or forsake her. This little girl looked up and said, "What are you doing Monday?" The worker asked, "Why?" She said, "Because it's my birthday, and I was wondering if you could come and have lunch with me?" The worker told her that she would even like to take her to dinner, and as the worker was leaving the girl asked, "Hey, can I have a Bible?"

We, the staff of S.O.S want to personally express our sincerest love and appreciation for each and every one of you! We wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and may this new year be filled with more of Christ!

Together we are the body of Christ, and because of your continual prayers, love, and support, the Lord allows us to go so that He may touch the hearts of men and women, boys and girls with the greatest story ever told and fill them with the love of Christmas!

In His name,
J. J. Ramirez
